As part of our commitment to continuous improvement, we’ve enhanced the design of our Axis EN wired addressable detectors.
The new design includes an upgraded insect screen which prevents unwanted bodies such as dust and insects from entering the optical chamber.
This helps to reduce the risk of contamination, which can affect long-term detector performance and lead to false alarms. Improving protection against environmental debris ensures the detectors remain highly reliable in demanding conditions.
In addition, we have upgraded the infrared emitter LED, which now produces a more focused beam for improved smoke detection.
This advancement increases sensitivity to airborne particulates while reducing interference from dust and fibres that may settle inside the chamber. The result is a more accurate, consistent detection process with enhanced resistance to environmental factors that could otherwise compromise performance.
The design changes have been rigorously tested and are fully approved to EN54 standards.
The improvements apply to all Axis EN wired addressable detectors, including the following part codes:
- AXIS-OPX – Optical detector with isolator
- AXIS-OHX – Multi-detector (optical/heat) with isolator
- AXIS-HTX – Heat detector with isolator
- AXIS-OP – Optical detector
- AXIS-OH – Multi-detector (optical/heat)
- AXIS-HT – Heat detector
